All sessions are provided by our experienced Strength & Conditioning Staff. We ensure that the programs and progress of all athletes are catered to their developmental age and training experience. All Training Programs include aspects of  movement preparation ("warm up"), injury prevention, speed/agility/quickness, plyometrics, power, strength, functional core training, and conditioning (based on the athlete's current season).

Speed Camp

This is a limited time specialty training offer. Register today so you don't miss out!

Dedicated training time for high school athletes looking to advance their physical performance through age-appropriate, evidenced-based, and progressive training. Sessions will focus on building a robust foundation of pre-requisite skills for developing multi-directional speed, agility, and quickness. Appropriate for high-school aged athletes of various sport backgrounds, we believe that teaching the body how to organize itself to maximize it's potential to produce force appropriately and timely is transferable to many sport environments.

Ages 14+ no experience necessary! Sessions will run on the dates and times provided, no make up sessions on account of the athlete will be permitted.

Speed Camp will run on Tuesday's and Thursday's 5-6pm for 4 weeks

Multi-sport group training

This is a limited time specialty training offer. Register today so you don't miss out!

 

Dedicated training time for high school athletes looking to advance their physical performance through age-appropriate, evidenced-based, and progressive training. Sessions will focus on building a robust foundation of movement competency focusing on developing proper warm up strategies, general strength, stability, plyometrics, power, and speed. Appropriate for high-school aged athletes of various sport backgrounds, we believe that teaching the body different movement skills and challenging them in the weight room is a pivotal part of athletic development for sport.

This week long camp is for the dedicated youth athlete that wants to learn more about the methods behind athletic development and how to train, conditioning, fuel, and prepare for your sport.

Physical Education Class Training

These sessions are available to Phys-Ed classes as part of their fitness curriculum. Your class could come train and learn from our Performance Coaches in the Gryphon Performance Centre or we could come to visit you at your school!

 

Enhancing physical activity education through sport

Improving the execution of physical education to local school boards, high schools and PE classes.

GPA coaches will conduct interactive and experiential sessions to enhance the knowledge on PE assessment programming and how to apply the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model to the existing curriculum.

Local PE and health classes can join GPA for a class-long interactive session or even a full day of learning with our GPA coaches.

Performance Testing

Performance Testing

Our GPA coaches will conduct a battery of tests chosen for sport competition level, relevance to sport performance, and previous training history. This testing will allow for the identification of key performance limiters.

Example tests include:

Movement screen

Anthropometric (height, weight)

Vertical & Horizontal power (Using Jump Mat, Vertec, or Gym Aware)

Speed Testing (Using Timing Gates)

Agility Testing

Strength Testing

Aerobic & Anaerobic Capacity Testing
